BRISBANE (CelebrityAccess) — The Queensland Government has renewed their contract with AEG Ogden to manage the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC).
The extended contract will see continue to operate the venue on behalf of Queensland for the next 5 years, with an option for an additional five years. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Under AEG Ogden's management, the venue was voted The World’s Best Convention Centre by the International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC), in July 2016 and currently has more than 1,400 events booked on their calendar through 2029. As well, AEG Ogden reports they have secured 140 new conventions for Brisbane during the 2015/16 Financial Year
