Bon Jovi Tour Set To Wind Down In Summer 2011

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Jon Bon Jovi, frontman of eponymously-named touring juggernaut Bon Jovi revealed that the band's current tour is set to wind down by Summer of 2011, a fact that is likely to increase competition for the band's remaining tickets, which are already highly-sought.

Tickets for the current tour are listing for as much as $5,200 on secondary ticket marketplace StubHub, while tickets for the band's shows are going for more than $3,000 per ticket on Ticket Network.

Post Tour Plans

During an interview with Billboard's Gary Graff, Bon Jovi elucidated his plans for a lazy summer of sitting ont he beach.

"I’m going to sit on the beach for August, which is usually what I do and come September figure out what’s next," Bon Jovi said.

As for what that 'what's next' may be, Bon Jovi talked about working on a solo project or perhaps focusing on philanthropic endeavors or even buying a sports franchise of some sort.

"A smaller-sounding solo record and/or focus more on the philanthropy and sports ownerships," he told Billboard. "I don't see any acting in the immediate future. It'll be out of the political cycles, and there's nothing else I wish I could do. I'm not a coulda, shoulda, woulda kind of guy. If I wanted to do it, I tried it, so it's not like I have any hidden desire to become a chef or anything."
