BIRMINGHAM, AL (CelebrityAccess) — Birmingham is home to a new music venue, Saturn, which is being exclusively booked through a partnership with Bowery Presents.
The 500-capacity club also features a coffee house and a bar with science fiction theme to its decor, which suits owner Brian Teasley, who also perform as a founding member in the Auburn-based surf-rock band Man or Astro-Man?
The bar also includes the Living Venue Project, which it describes as "a multi-sensory reactive sound medium where various devices installed in the venue (stimulated by sound, light, motion, weather, water flow, street activity, etc.) trigger random ambient sounds, in order to make a sort of symphony of sonic activity." You can listen to the bar now at http://mixlr.com/saturnbirmingham.
Upcoming shows at The Saturn include Good Old War, Neon Electric, Dax Riggs and Sugar and The Hi-Lows. – Staff Writers
