(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Bravo Entertainment has signed a multi-year deal to book and promote concerts at the 12th Planet in Billings, Montana, in its first move since being acquired by Knitting Factory Entertainment last week.
The 12th Planet is a $12 million high tech entertainment complex set to open in March complete with dining, gaming, shopping, nightlife and top-name entertainment in a 1,000-plus capacity room.
“It’s a beautiful room,” Bravo president Paul Thornton told Billboard. “It will stick out like a sore thumb in Billings. It’s like the nicest places in Vegas.”
The venue will have top-line production capabilities, include a 60-foot-wide stage, video walls, a Meyer sounds system, 48 channel Yamaha DMP5 console, spotlights, and a state of the art moving lights system. As an “all ages” room, 12th Planet has also built an XBOX 360 arcade with station specific LCD screens and surround sound.
Bravo hopes to route 8 to 10 major artists through to 12th Planet each month, focusing on those normally playing the Big Easy Concert Houses in Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
