SFX is adding six more private boxes to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, with plans to add more. The boxes sell for between $12,000 and $14,000.

The Missouri Senate overwhelmingly approved a resolution that authorizes the state to issue $35 million in bonds for a new 16,000-seat basketball arena at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Projected costs for the new facility is $75 million. The 13,500-seat Hearnes Center, built in 1972, is the team's current home and would be used for other events.

A short power outage at The Statler Brothers' May 17 Civic Arena concert in St. Joseph, Mo., proved one thing — there's no lip-synching by this group — as the arena went black for about a minute before some of the house lights came back on.
