Chesney Moves Foxboro Show Ahead Of Hurricane Irene

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In the face of a potential visit from Hurricane Irene, country performer Kenny Chesney has moved his August 28th 'Goin' Coastal' tour stop at Foxborough's Gilette Stadium ahead two days to Friday, August 26th. The hurricane is currently projected to hit the New England region by early Sunday morning.

"I want the last weekend of the ‘Goin’ Coastal’ Tour to be a great experience for everybody, but I also want it to be the safest experience for everyone. I’ve always said Foxboro[ugh] is a highlight of our tour, because the fans are ready for a great night of music and fun no matter what night it is!" Chesney wrote in a post on his website.

"Our first and foremost priority is the fans' safety," said promoter Louis Messina of TMG/AEG Live, "so we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the show."

All tickets for Sunday's show will be honored on the new date, and the line-up and set-times will remain the same. Fans unable to attend can return their ticket for a refund at the point of purchase. There will be no show on Sunday, August 28th. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
