OTTAWA (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers for the CityFolk music festival announced the first round of artists confirmed for the 2015 edition of the event.

The initial lineup announcement includes: Van Morrison; The Avett Brothers; Wilco; Of Monsters and Men; Passenger; UB40; The Tubes; The Sheepdogs; Patrick Watson; Walk Off The Earth; Lord Huron; Elle King; Lisa LeBlanc; Lucinda Williams; St. Paul & The Broken Bones; Kitty, Daisy & Lewis; Amy Helm; Lucius; Lee Harvey Osmond; Steep Canyon Rangers; Built to Spill; The Barr Brothers; Wintersleep; Sun Kil Moon; Will Butler; Steve Poltz; Fortunate Ones; The Everyone Orchestra; Frank Fairfield & The Down Hill Strugglers; Terra Lightfoot; Scarlett Jane; and Charlie A'Court with additional artists TBA.

As well, festival organizers announced that the festival will be moving to a new location in 2015 in Lansdowne Park to accommodate its growing audience. Attendance this year is expected to surpass the 50,000 mark achieved in 2014.

“We are looking forward to moving CityFolk to the ‘Great Lawn’ at Lansdowne Park, adjacent to the football stadium,” said Cityfolk executive/artistic director Mark Monahan. “The new site at Lansdowne Park provides us with an accessible, world-class venue that we’ll have the privilege to animate, while creating a magical experience for Ottawa festival goers.

The festival, formerly known as the Ottawa Folk Fest, was taken over by the Ottawa Bluesfest team in 2011 and since then, the event has seen incrementally increasing attendance. – Staff Writers
