Craven Country Jamboree Lineup Confirmed

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Craven Country Jamboree, the premiere camping and music festival in Canada, returned ‘back to its boots’ in 2005, attracting over 17,000 fans for four days of music, food, camping and fun. Festival producers expect to attract even more fans not only to the four-day event, July 13-16, but to country music and to Saskatchewan.

“The response last year was both overwhelming and encouraging,” says festival spokesperson Brian Andrews. “We are very pleased to bring country music back into the province, especially now that the festival will be followed by the 2007 Country Music Week and the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) in the community.”

The 2006 line-up includes Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Big and Rich, Sawyer Brown, Joe Nichols, Randy Travis, Gord Bamford, Craig Morgan, Restless Heart, Amanda Wilkinson, Blackhawk, Little Texas, Jessica Andrews, Corb Lund and the Hurtin’ Albertans, Freddy Fender, and the comedy duo of Williams and Ree, who will once again host the event. The Molson Canadian Rocks Thursday night kick-off party will feature the the Bellamy Brothers.

“Our talent is deep this year, including many artists who are multi-award winners. We’re proud to offer this kind of quality to our fans,” said Andrews. “Saskatchewan will be the site of the best festival in Canada. We’re bringing some great talent that we hope country music fans will enjoy.”

Weekend passes are $139 until the end of April when they will increase to $159. — Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
