FT. WORTH, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Time is running out for submissions for IFEA's World Festival & Event City Award program. The awards program was designed as a way for festival and event companies to recognize positive communities that foster successful festivals.
"Through this award, the IFEA hopes to create a dialogue between events and cities around the world, at a time when each needs to be supporting the other more than ever," said IFEA President & CEO, Steven Wood Schmader, CFEE. "At the same time, we look forward to creating an IFEA knowledge base from the entry information that can be shared, compared and analyzed professionally for everyone’s benefit moving forward."
City entries will be judged by population level and global region. IFEA says that they will provide selected cities with a number of things, including:
A strong platform from which to recognize the success of current and on-going efforts by every component of a community;
A clear positioning statement to encourage continued infrastructure, policy and process enhancement and expansion; and
A powerful marketing statement for use in recruiting and encouraging new festivals, events and businesses.
IEFA's Convention and Expo returns for its 56th year in Forth Worth from October 3-6. For more information, or to register, check them out online at: IFEA.com. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
