GAINESVILLE, GA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The director for the Georgia Mountains Center Arena has put the estimate for repairs to seating at the arena at more than $20,000.
According to Access North Georgia, arena director Carol Moore told Gainseville's city council that the arena would need a total of $22,000 to effect repair about on 800 32-year-old moveable mezzanine seats.
Included in this price are wheels and replacement tracks, as well as repairs to broken seats. The 2,500 capacity multi-purpose arena was originally built in 1980 by the city of Gainesville and hosts trade shows, social and sporting events such as WWE wrestling. The Arena complex also includes a 300 seat proscenium theatre.
The money for the proposed seat repairs would come from the Georgia Mountains Center Special Reserve Fund, Moore said.. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
