Design To Be Reconsidered At Spac

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — State parks officials are re-evaluating the design for the $2.5 million refurb of the The Saratoga Performing Arts Center after some people have taken issue with the proposed look of the building. However, work continues on the bidding-out the upgrades to the lighting, sound and bathrooms at the facilities the Daily Gazette reported.

"It’s important that we move forward with the infrastructure phase," Marcia White, SPAC president told the Daily Gazette. "We are looking at refining the design."

The external design of the building induced ribbing when an artists rendering was posted on a local blog. Some readers described the building as having the appearance of a stack of pancakes.

The latest round of upgrades are a part of a larger plan to upgrade the PAC with the state investing more than $7 into the venue in the past three years. Other upgrades have included the addition of padded seats, a new roof and upgraded performer amenities. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
