Dweezil Zappa has started a new label, Vaulternative, dedicated to releasing material from the vaults from his late father Frank Zappa's Barking Pumpkin Studios in Los Angeles. Vaulternative plans to put out several live recordings. The first release, "FZ:OZ — Frank Zappa Live in Australia," is a double-CD and is from Zappa's mid-1970's concerts in Australia. It is currently available through www.zappa.com. Zappa plans on releasing recordings focusing on unique configurations of his father's
backing groups.
