STERLING HEIGHTS, MI (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Freedom Hill and Macomb County got down to business with their court-room brawl with jury selection on April 7th.
Freedom Hill's operators, Hillside Productions, lodged $250 million lawsuit against Macomb County, alleging that the county's demands for a larger share of parking revenue contributed to the death of a merger between Hillside and Palace Sports & Entertainment. Macomb has riposted with a countersuit, alleging breach of contract and fraud.
According to the Detroit News, the county has scored some early successes in having Hillside's expert excluded from testifying at the trial.
Hillside is still running Freedom Hill however and the schedule this year includes Wynonna Judd, Yes and Poison among others. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
