LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The New Music Seminar in Los Angeles served as the forum for the announcement of the launch of a new, online ticketing start-up, Gigswiz.
The Finnish company's direct-to-fan business model is built on the premise of paying a band 1/3rd of their 15% service fee for each ticket the band sells through a Gigswiz widget embedded in the band's website or social media sites such as Facebook. The more tickets the band sells through Gigwiz, the greater their reward.
Gigswiz has already made a splash across the pond and was one of MidemNet Lab's finalists
"The biggest problem event organizers currently face in concert promotion is getting artists to help promote ticket sales online. By providing the artist a share of the ticket sales revenue, GigsWiz becomes a key factor in increasing ticket sales." said Gigswiz co-founder Kai Lemmetty. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
