Gillette Stadium Hit With 22k Fine For Bruce Springsteen's Overtime Show

FOXBORO, MA (CelebrityAccess) — Gillette Stadium got whacked with a whopping fine of more than $22,000 after allowing a Bruce Springsteen concert to run late.

According to Attleboro's Sun Chronicle, the Boss and the E Streeters performed for more than 4 hours during the Sept. 14th concert, playing their last note at just after 11:56 PM, a full 26 minutes after curfew.

The late finish may be connected to the show's late start. According to the Sun Chronicle, the concert was scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., but the stadium was slow to fill and the show didn't kick off until 7:53 p.m.

The 11:30 curfew had even been extended by the town of Foxboro, which usually requires concerts at the stadium to wrap up by 11:15.

Foxboro Town Manager Bill Keegan said that The Kraft Group, the stadium's owners, cut a check for the town to the tune of $22,429 to cover the overtime fine even before the town had drafted a letter advising them of the violation. – Staff Writers
