KENT, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Gorillaz, the animated mythology/band created by Blur's Damon Albarn and comic book artist Jamie Hewlett (Tank Girl) announced their return to the live stage at their own music festival.
The one-day Demon Dayz festival is set for June 10th at Dreamland Margate in Kent, on the south coast of England. As of yet, Gorillaz is the the only act on the bill, but organizers promised to announce additional performers soon.
Albarn has been teasing new material from Gorillaz for some time now and in January, released a new track from the virtual band entitled "Hallelujah Money" featuring Benjamin Clementine.
Hopefully, the festival and new material will finally let the public in on Gorillaz guitarist Noodle's fate after the destruction of her island by the nefarious Black Clouds.
The group's last album, The Fall, was released in 2011. – Staff Writers
