The Grammy Awards have expanded the Rap field to include a Best Rap/Song Collaboration category, and Mastering Engineer was added to the list of people eligible to receive a Grammy for the winning recording in Album Of The Year.
The Rap Field now grows to four categories: Best Rap Solo Performance, Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group, Best Rap Album and the new Best Rap/Song Collaboration. Collaborative efforts of rap and song performances were previously placed in the Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group category. The Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group category will now only include recordings by established duos and/or groups, and collaborative rap/rap performances.
The Remixer of the Year category was also revised. The award will now be given to the Remixer for a specific remixed recording, rather than for a "body of work."
