Gridiron Stadium Network Formed

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ten professional football stadiums have formed the Gridiron Stadium Network (GSN) to promote and raise public and industry awareness of the multiple uses of these state-of-the-art facilities. As such, the GSN's primary goal is to optimize opportunities to expand the use of the venues for new sports, entertainment, public and private events.

The GSN will be an advocacy organization, lobbying industry, business and community leaders to ensure awareness of the vast opportunities available to them at the facilities of GSN members. The GSN will not negotiate or promote directly an event. However, the network will aid its members and potential users by facilitating introductions, negotiations and dissemination of information.

Events sought by GSN members include both events using the field surface such as concerts, music and special interest festivals, soccer, non-professional football, motor sports, rodeos, spectaculars, and trade shows, as well as events using the wide array of alternative spaces available at member facilities. The GSN will assist its members with attracting and developing events on either a single or multiple facility basis.

"We are very pleased that these illustrious venues have decided to come together and leverage their outstanding facilities and resources," said Tom Rooney, veteran facility executive and spokesperson for the GSN. "The public, industry and business leaders are aware through national media coverage of football games that the venues can attract and entertain 60,000 or more patrons. The Gridiron Stadium Network is here to ensure that everyone is aware that these facilities offer great flexibility. The venues are able to accommodate just about any capacity or configuration a third party would need.

"Our facilities offer outstanding alternative spaces with the availability of clubs, festival expanses and other unique areas," Rooney continued. "The group will be able to address single and multiple city needs of a third party as each market and each opportunity provides unique situations. Whether it is a rental, co-promotion, or direct purchase of an event, the GSN members will have the resources and information as to the options available to them and the third party involved."

The Gridiron Stadium Network will be hiring an executive director for its headquarters in Los Angeles. The member stadiums are:

Ralph Wilson Stadium, Buffalo, NY

Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, OH

INVESCO Field at Mile High, Denver, CO

Ford Field, Detroit, MI

Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX

Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
