LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Harry Shearer, who for more than 20 years has been the voice behind Simpsons characters such as C. Montgomery Burns, Ned Flanders, Waylon Smithers and Principal Seymour Skinner, has reportedly signed a new contract with Fox that will seem him continue his role with the program, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Shearer made headlines in May when his apparently acrimonious contract dispute with Fox spilled over onto Twitter ahead of an announcement that he was leaving the show.
At the time, Shearer said he wanted "freedom to do other work" and the show's executive producer Al Jean said Shearer's roles would be recast.
Shearer and the other cast members of the show reportedly make $300,000 per episode, placing them the highest paid actors on Television. – Staff Writers
