HOB Commits To Sounds Of The Underground Tour

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — House of Blues (HOB) is getting hardcore this summer with the first annual Sounds of the Underground Tour 2005 by partnering with tour organizers, independent label Ferret Music executive and artist manager Paul Conroy, Ferret Music owner Carl Severson, artist manager Larry Mazer and Face the Music Touring booking agent Tim Borror to promote the new tour. Tour sponsors include Ferret Music, Trustkill Records, Metal Blade Records, Prosthetic Records, The Syndicate, Music Choice, Revolver, PureVolume.com and Hot Topic.

Designed to showcase emerging metal and hardcore artists in both indoor and outdoor venues this summer, Sounds of the Underground Tour dates will feature all-day music in a festival atmosphere debuting in June and running through July.

“House of Blues is focused on artist development. Supporting a national tour that launches new metal and hardcore bands takes our commitment to another level,” said Elyse Rogers, senior manager of Touring and Finance for HOB, who brokered the HOB interest in the tour. “Tim Borror knows this world inside and out and it has been great to watch him develop this scene over the last several years," she continued. "All of our HOB promoters have been long-time supporters of Face the Music and Tim and I go way back and trust one another to do what's right for the music. It seemed like a very natural partnership."

“As a group, Sounds of the Underground didn't know if we wanted a national partner for the first year," says Borror. "We knew we wanted support from the right buyers in the right cities. I approached House of Blues with that in mind and by the time that conversation ended, it was pretty clear that in most cities where House of Blues could buy the show, they where the right promoter. House of Blues has always supported the Face the Music Touring roster and generally speaking, they have supported this movement of music. I am happy they have made themselves partners with this tour.”

Tickets became available for the Internet community starting on April 4. The presale was enabled by ArtistArena and is available at the following website: https://tix.artistarena.com/soundsoftheunderground/ A portion of the proceeds will benefit The American Cancer Society and Cure Autism Now.

The headliner will be announced on May 1.
