MADISON, Wisconsin (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation's House of Blues has been named as the exclusive booking partner for the Orpheum Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin.
The historic 2,000-seat live performance and musical theater is located in downtown Madison, near the Wisconsin State Capitol building. First opened in 1926, the theater served as a home for vaudeville and a movie theater.
The venue nearly burned to the ground in a suspected arson but the theatre was purchased in 2013 by Gus Paras and underwent significant renovations. Upcoming shows include dates by Lindsey Stirling, Bob Weir and Ratdog and the Pixies.
HoB's Mary Clare Bourjaily will be the exclusive booking agent for the theater. – Staff Writers
