BROOKLYN, NY (Hypebot) – Youth retailer Hot Topic's ShockHound.com has exclusively partnered with TuneCore so any artist can get their music into the Shockhound online store. All artists are welcome. ShockHound carries MP3s from the majors, and thousands of indies alongside band merchandise, exclusive interviews and videos and a community of music fans.
TuneCore customers can have one album, EP or single delivered into the Shockhound.com store without the usual $.99 delivery charge. To take advantage of this offer, artists and musicians will follow a link from ShockHound.com to a special co-branded ShockHound/TuneCore page.
"Hot Topic knows music and music fans," says TuneCore founder and President Jeff Price. "They connect the two better than anyone on the planet. For the first time, an on-line store will provide music discovery and sharing while giving the fan the opportunity to buy music via download, along with t-shirts, accessories, vinyl and other band merchandise. ShockHound.com fits naturally with TuneCore: the partnership lets all music creators into previously unreachable parts of the industry."
