OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (CelebrityAccess) — Venue management firm SMG has announced that Hugh J. Lombardi has been named as the new general manager for the Chesapeake Energy Arena and Cox Convention Center, Oklahoma City, OK.
Lombardi's most recent gig was Sr. Vice President and General Manager of the TD Garden in Boston, where he oversaw the arena's business and operations, including events, human resources, IT, Ticketing and relations with tenants, vendors and contractors. During his tenure, the TD Garden averaged in the top 20 in concert ticket sales in the U.S., SMG said.
Before the TD Garden, Lombardi was the Chief Operating Officer, Sr. Vice President and General Manager of the Sommet Center (now called Bridgestone Arena) in Nashville, TN. He managed all day-to-day and event operations for metropolitan-owned Sommet Center, home to NHL’s Nashville Predators.
