Jesse McCartney, Aly & AJ And Bowling For Soup Head Summer Break 2K5 Concert Series

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

Jesse McCartney, Aly & AJ and Bowling for Soup are teaming up for the first annual Summer Break 2K5-Powered by OfficeMax concert series in select movie theatres nationwide. It will be simulcast via satellite in Hi-Definition and 5.1 surround sound this August to 86 Regal, United Artists, Edwards and Georgia Theatre Company movie theatres in 66 markets throughout the country. Each artist will host the Summer Break 2K5 series live-via-satellite, which will feature premieres of concert footage shot exclusively for these in-theatre special events. The shows will also include question and answer sessions with the performers and their fans as well as behind-the-scenes footage.

McCartney kicks off the series on August 2, followed by the sister singing duo Aly & AJ on August 16 and Bowling for Soup on August 30 (this event will include a completely live concert performance from Austin, TX). All three events will begin at 7:00pm ET/4:00pm PT. Fans will have the opportunity to submit questions in advance of the concerts through local radio station and fan club promotions. The pre-selected winners' questions will be answered live by the artist during the in-theatre event.

"We created this series for the last half of summer break, when kids have returned from summer camps and their team athletics are nearing completion," said Dan Diamond, vice president, digital programming for National CineMedia. "By partnering with Hollywood Records, OfficeMax, and Hasbro Video Now, we were able to create an exciting and safe new summer entertainment option with a great talent line up."

"We've created a tremendous platform to serve up live concert events to the 'tween/teen' demographic," said Rob Souriall, vice president of strategic marketing & promotions at Hollywood Records.

Tickets for each show in the series are priced at $10. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
