DETROIT (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Detroit Redwings may get a new home. This week, the Ilitch family, owners of a multi-billion dollar sports, entertainment and restaurant empire named Randy Lippe, president of Olympia Entertainment as senior executive in charge of arena development. Lippe will be tasked with evaluating if Joe Lewis Arena should be renovated or replaced.

"This project – regardless of which path we ultimately take – will be one of the largest development projects in our history," said Atanas Ilitch, president, Olympia Development. "There is significant investment for this project and it will have a major impact on our community and fans. Randy brings the focus and operations expertise needed to this newly created role to thoroughly research these two prospective options." A timeline has not been established for the project.
