Kathy Griffin's Tour Cancelled Following Photo Outrage

(CelebrityAccess) — Comic Kathy Griffin has apparently cancelled all of her upcoming tour dates after she sparked outrage and controversy by posing for a photo with a prop designed to look like the severed head of President Donald Trump.

Numerous venues where she was booked to perform, such as Route 66 Casino Hotel in New Mexico, and the Uptown Theater in Napa, announced that her shows had been canceled.

Since then, her tour itinerary has been removed from her website and it now states: “No dates currently scheduled. Please check back for new tour date announcements.”

The fallout for Griffin has been sharp, including castigation on social media as well as being fired from a longtime red carpet hosting gig at CNN.

Griffin has attempted to walk back from the photo, asking photographer Tyler Shields to remove the photo from public view and issuing an apology.

"I made a horrible, horrible call," she said during a press conference addressing the photos. "Trust me, if I could redo the whole thing I'd have a blow-up doll and no ketchup." – Staff Writers
