MELBOURNE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Dub-stepper Katy B backed out of the Australian touring music festival Parklife after playing at both the Perth and Melbourne events, but missing the subsequent shows in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.
The festival announced the lineup change with a post on their website which read:
"It is with great regret that, due to personal reasons Katy B has had to pull out of the remainder of the Parklife 2011 national tour and fly back to London immediately. Katy absolutely loved playing Parklife Melbourne and Perth over the weekend and was touched by the fantastic support shown to her on these two performances, her first in Australia. She is extremely sad to leave the tour and wishes Example, Magnetic Man, Nero, Gossip, Santigold and all the other incredible acts she was appearing alongside, all the best for the shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide this coming weekend. Lastly, Katy B wishes to apologise to all of her Australian fans and promises she will be back very soon."
Festival organizers responded to the sudden hole in their lineup by rearranging set times with some acts starting ten to fifteen minutes ahead of schedule. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
