HOUSTON, TX (CelebrityAccess) — The NFL announced that Lady Gaga will be the headliner for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI halftime show when the big game takes place at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017.
This will be Lady G's second time performing at the Super Bowl in as many years after she performed the National Anthem at Supr Bowl 50 last February.
Lady Gaga will be promoting her upcoming sixth studio album, "Joanne," which is due out October 21st. The first single "Perfect Illusion" is already available and debuted at #1 on iTunes in 60 countries.
Gaga's halftime performance will see her join a cadre of recent halftime acts including Coldplay, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, U2 and more.
The Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show is the most-watched musical event of the year. More than 116.5 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year's show. Super Bowl LI and Halftime Show will be broadcast this year by Fox. – Staff Writers
