LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Liam Gallagher announced that he's signed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group.
The former Oasis and Beady Eye frontman is set to release his debut solo album in 2017 via Warner Bros. Records and will be represented on the live circuit by Coda Music agent and partner Alex Hardee.
While he was with Oasis, Gallagher notched up seven multi-platinum albums, all of which hit #1 in the UK, and more than 77 million in album sales, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time.
Their second record (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? gave them their big break around the world and remains the fifth biggest selling album in UK history.
“I am so pleased to be able to welcome Liam to the Warner Chappell Family. He is one of the greatest rock and roll stars that this country has ever produced. It is thrilling to see him develop as a writer and these songs will take him to new levels of success and recognition,” said Mike Smith, Managing Director, Warner/Chappell Music UK. – Staff Writers
