NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Country music legend Loretta Lynn is in a Nashville hospital after suffering from a stroke.
Lynn's website reports that the 85-year-old singer and songwriters admitted to a Nashville hospital Thursday night after she suffered a stroke at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn is responsive and is expected to make a full recovery, but on the advice of her doctors, has been forced to postpone upcoming tour dates while she is recuperating, according to a statement posted on her website.
Lynn's sister, the Grammy-winning singer Crystal Gayle, told Fox News in a statement emailed by her publicist, "Many of you have heard that my sister, Loretta Lynn, had a stroke. She's a strong woman and I know she'll come out of this. Our family appreciates your prayers, love, and support. We pray for a speedy recovery."
