Major Upgrades Underway At Houston's Arena Theatre

HOUSTON (CelebrityAccess) — Houston's iconic Arena Theatre has started the first phase of a planned $1 million renovation. The refurb includes a complete overhaul of all aspects of the venue, including a new state-of-the-art sound, lights and video system, which is being installed by sound experts, LD Systems of Houston.

The next phase of the refurbishment will see the venue's seats replaced with new, luxury seating, along with new carpets and modernized sanitary facilities.

Originally built in 1965, the historic theatre featured comedian Bob Hope as one of its original investors for the property, which is located in the Arena Place owned by Boxer Property.

Hector Hinojosa, the Director of Arena Concessions, states “Customer service is priority #1 with our team. The upgrades will transform the feel and atmosphere of the Arena with an eye towards modernization and embracing new technologies.”

Upcoming shows at the venue include Charlie Wilson on Feb. 6th, Tejano/Norteño group Intocable on March 5th and Clay Walker on March 25th. – Staff Writers
