Marsha Vlasic Signs PJ Harvey

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Marsha Vlasic, president of Artist Group International, has signed UK musician PJ Harvey for representation in the U.S. and Canada.

Harvey, whose experimental alt-rock has been adored by critics and garnered her a cult following of devoted fans, is perhaps best known to U.S. audiences for her 1995 album "To Bring You My Love" with its surprise hit "Down by the water" which earned Harvey extensive airplay.

Harvey has stronger name recognition in Europe and her most recent album, 2011's "Let England Shake" debuted on the UK charts at #8 and was certified gold in Denmark. Harvey is currently in the studio in Somerset, with producer John Parish working on her 9th studio album.

In January, she staged live recording sessions, inviting fans into a specially designed studio to watch the work in progress from behind soundproofed, one way glass.

Vlasic reports that she has followed PJ Harvey’s career and has been a fan for decades.

"I am incredibly honored and excited to work with such an amazing artist." – Vlasic said in a press statement. “Having this opportunity is extremely thrilling and I can’t wait to share her talents and expand her touring in the United States and Canada.” – Staff Writers
