Meat Loaf Cancels Four Concerts Due to Surgery

(CelebrityAccess News Service) — Meat Loaf has been forced to cancel the first four concerts of his 15-month world tour due to emergency intestinal surgery on June 10. The surgery was reportedly routine, and Meat Loaf is expected to make a full recovery and return to the tour. At first though, he was expected to only miss three concerts.

The canceled concerts are: June 22 at Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA; June 24 at Idaho Center in Nampa, ID; June 25 at Marymore Amphitheatre in Richmond, WA; and June 27 at Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego, CA. Loaf is expected to return to the road July 5 at Plymouth Pavilions in Plymouth, England. After performing at London's Party in the Park in Hyde Park, on July 6, he returns to the United States on July 9 for the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, MI. — edited by Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
