(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Mojave Crossing Events Center, a 127,000-square-foot, multipurpose indoor venue, will be opening to the public on December 1st as the first facility of its kind near the rapidly-growing Laughlin, Nevada – about 90 miles south of Las Vegas.
The 7,500-seat venue will be located only a few hundred yards from the Avi Resort & Casino, offering travelers and vacationers a unique opportunity to now catch a live performance or other entertainment when visiting the Fort Mojave Indian Reservation.
“It will be the first [venue] of that kind in the area,” Shan Lewis, vice chairman of the tribe, told the Mojave Daily News. “It’s a pretty good size and we hope to have a lot of events there.”
The tribe expects to hold everything from concerts and rodeos to m otorcross and circuses at the facility.
“I think it'll bring its own type of business in. I don't see us taking a bunch of business away from other venues,” Lewis told the paper. “A lot of events that are held locally were hoping to get an event center in the area.”
GM Dennis Burns and Connecticut-based Billy Alan Productions are handling all operations and booking duties for the venue. At press time, they had not confirmed any specific dates for the new facility. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
