Irvine, CA (CelebrityAccess) Nine people were injured — four of them, seriously — in a multi-vehicle accident outside of the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine, California.
According to a statement released by the Irvine Police Department, an elderly man kicked off chain reaction crash in the venue's parking lot Saturday night when he struck a fence, another vehicle, and several pedestrians. The vehicle then struck a parked and unoccupied police car, which was pushed into the grass area near the box office where several people were picnicking before the concert striking numerous individuals.
The incident happened shortly after 6:45 p.m. before a concert by The Pacific Symphony Orchestra
Police are investigating the cause of the crash but do not believe drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor. – Staff Writers
