LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — American indie rock quartet Neutral Milk Hotel have announced what may prove to be the group's farewell tour.
Set to get underway with an April 13 show at the Carolina Theatre in Greensboro, NC, the tour runs through April and May before the denoument on June 11th at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA.
Neutral Milk Hotel, originally an appellation for Jeff Mangum, first saw significant success with the 1996 album "On Avery Island." The band then grew from just Mangum and Apples in Stereo frontman Robert Schneider to a full quartet but they disbanded in 1999 after an aggressive tour schedule.
The band reunited in 2013 with the lineup that played on the "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" album but announced in a post on their website that their upcoming tour would be their final outing "for the foreseeable future."
