PROVIDENCE, RI (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Concert promoter Larry Bonoff, long a fixture in the Rhode Island music scene has announced his retirement, the Providence Journal announced reported.
Bonoff, who is the last member in the business, a tradition that has continued unabated for eighty years and been a vital component of the live music business in Rhode Island. Bonoff's father, Buster Bonoff started the Warwick Musical Theatre and ran it for years with his wife Barbara while grandparents Rose and Sam Wasserman's show business roots extend back to Vaudeville.
Larry has stated that he intends to use his newfound free time to collate the family archive of photographs and memorabilia. The Bonoff foundation has annually produced calendars featuring this material.
Bonoff's final show will be a Beach Boys holiday show, slated for the Providence Performing Arts Center on Dec. 8. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
