LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – The Los Angeles Dodgers have signed a multiyear deal with Irving Azoff and Tim Leiweke's Oak View Group to bring high-end concerts to the Major League Baseball stadium.
Lon Rosen, chief marketing officer for the Dodgers, says the deal will help bring "more great performers" to the stadium.
“We’ve had many of the greatest names in the music industry perform at Dodger Stadium and teaming up with Irving and Tim will bring many more great performers to our beautiful venue,” Rosen said.
The Dodgers organization took pains to note that Oak View Group is not a promoter and that they would continue to work with all music promoters.
First opened in 1962, the 56,000-capacity Dodger Stadium has played host over the years to concerts by acts such as the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Madonna, Elton John, Michael Jackson and David Bowie. – Staff Writers
