DETROIT (CelebrityAccess) — Lee Rifield, the beloved production and booking manager for Olympia Entertainment's Fox Theatre, City Theatre, and the Hockeytown Cafe died suddenly at work. He was 50.
According to the Detroit Free Press's Mitch Albom, Rifield suffered an apparent massive heart attack and died shortly after reporting to work on Tuesday, March 15th.
“He will be missed beyond belief,” Olympia Entertainment's Dana Warg told the Free Press. “What he did was stunning. It’ll take three of us to try and fill his shoes.”
A native of Florida, Rifield moved to Detroit 10 years ago and accepted a position with Olympia.
He is survived by his sister Ilyne (Scott)Barten and brother Ian (Kim) Rifield, his aunt Phyllis Rifield, and several nieces and nephews. – Staff Writers
