One Direction Resched Riles Fans In Australia

SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Brit boy band One Direction managed to aroused the ire of some of their Australian fans when their rescheduled dates of their 2012 Oz tour lined up with the start of HSC and VCE exams.

Originally set to hit Australia in September of 2013, the reschedule pushed those down under dates back Mid-October, lining them up neatly with the exam dates, which start on October 14th and run to November 8th.

Incensed fans took to Twitter: “Did you even think how many lives you’ve ruined as its [sic] during the HSC and VCE exams?!” one member of the Twitter commentariat wrote.

Despite fan outrage, it appears as if the band is not budging on the rescheduled dates with one rep from Sony telling the Sydney Morning Herald that: "efforts were made to avoid a conflict with the exams but it was unfortunately unavoidable."

The two exams, the Higher School Certificate and Victorian Certificate of Education, are an end of school testing regimen for students that are similar to American SAT tests. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
