LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — After breaking up five years ago, British EDM pioneers Orbital announced plans for a reunion, including new music and a string of tour dates.
The brother-duo of Phil and Paul Hartnoll announced via social media that they are on the bill for three festival dates, including Forbidden Fruit in Dublin on June 3rd; The Bluedot Festival in Manchester on July 8th and Standon Calling in Hertfordshire on July 29th.
As well, they have released a new single Kinetic, which is available via Spotify and other streaming services.
Orbital was formed in 1987 and released their first single Chime amidst the second 'Summer of Love' in the Uk. The group would go on to become a mainstream of underground acid house culture, performing until they dissolved the group in 2004.
The group reunited briefly in 2009, but parted ways in 2014, stating at the time that they were "hanging up their iconic torch-glasses and parting ways for the final time." – Staff Writers
