Paul Sewell Named House of Blues SVP/Sponsorship

House Of Blues Appoints Paul Sewell Senior VP Of Sponsorship

Industry veteran Paul Sewell has joined House of Blues Entertainment, Inc., as senior vice president of sponsorship, where he will oversee the continued expansion and development of co-branded partnerships and corporate sponsorships for House of Blues Clubs and House of Blues Concerts, Inc. Sewell will be based out of Los Angeles.

"House of Blues is uniquely positioned to provide a platform upon which our partners can launch meaningful, marketing initiatives," said Sewell. "We have a vested interest in integrating our total guest experience, whether it's in our clubs, our concerts, amphitheatres or through our tours."

Prior to joining House of Blues, Sewell served as vice president and managing director of Radiate Group, a group of agencies that provided sponsorship and event marketing management and support for BBDO Worldwide and DaimlerChrysler.

In 2001, Sewell worked with AEG and Azoff Music Management Group, securing artist/tour inventory for sponsorships and endorsements and developing marketing plans for Azoff clients such as Christina Aguilera and the Eagles. Earlier, Sewell acted as managing partner at Chicago-based consulting firm, Marketing thru Entertainment, that provided strategic planning and business development for entertainment-based companies and properties. His clients included Celine Dion, Elton John, Diana Ross, and New York's largest television and film production studio, Kaufman Astoria Studios. Sewell also enjoyed stints at powerhouse agencies like Y&R Advertising, securing global sponsorship deals for A-level tours, and Campbell Mithun Esty Advertising, where he led the NFL's award-winning Super Bowl advertising and marketing campaign in 1992.
