MIAMI (CelebrityAccess) — Former Genesis frontman Phil Collins declined to perform as scheduled at a gala held to raise funds for his Little Dreams Foundation, telling the crowd that he was ill.
According to the Miami Herald, Collins said he was unable to perform due to being “overcome by some sort of neurological affliction that he said strikes every now and then.” The performance would have been the first performance for Collins in four years.
He appeared on stage at the end of the night and apologized for not performing, suggesting that he had been in consultation with doctors.
In 2009, Collins revealed that he lost the ability to play drums following an operation to repair dislocated vertebrae in his neck. – Staff Writers
