Proud2 Nightclub At O2 Dome Shutters

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Clubbing options at London's O2 Dome just got a little thinner as the company behind the Proud2 nightclub at the venue has gone into administration.

On November first, Proud Limited, a joint venture between club operators Proud Group and AEG, published a public notice about a creditors meeting pursuant to the 1986 Insolvency Act was published in the London Gazette.

According to CMU, rumors about Proud Limited going belly up started to circulate last month after the club temporarily had its license suspended following a stabbing incident. However, reps from the club denied these rumors on their Facebook page, saying that the club would "positively" reopen and that, "Proud2 has not gone into administration but we are currently undergoing a review of license and are closed for next 28 days. We expect to open to the public following this period."

Subsequent reports suggested that the Proud Group had attempted to renegotiate rent at the venue with AEG but were unable to reach an agreement and at present, the future of the club is undcertain. A previous club that occupied the same space as Proud2 always went into administration. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
