(CelebrityAccess News Service) — Paul Harvey, Don Imus, Mancow and Charley Pride will headline the 2003 Radio Hall of Fame induction broadcast live from Chicago on radio stations around the country and streamed live on the Radio Hall of Fame website, www.radiohof.org on November 8 at 9 PM (CT).
Larry King of CNN and Westwood One will emcee the one-hour national radio broadcast from the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington, home to the Radio Hall of Fame.
The benefit gala will include the induction of the late Gene Autry, Westwood Radio network talk show host Jim Bohannon, Los Angeles talk radio icon Michael Jackson, legendary Viacom CEO Mel Karmazin and veteran farm broadcaster Orion Samuelson of WGN/Chicago. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a reception, followed by dinner and the live broadcast.
"This is radio's biggest night of the year and we are pleased to welcome the Radio Hall of Fame class of 2003," said Bruce DuMont, president of America's only Radio Hall of Fame.
