Rock Drummer Jakson ‘Thunderfoot’ Spires Dies At 53

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Jakson “Thunderfood Spires, drummer for the Southern Rock All-Stars and Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday morning, March 16th, from a brain aneurysm in Ft Pierce, Florida, at the age of 53.

Mr. Spires was a drummer and songwriter for Blackfoot, which he formed with childhood friends in the '70s and '80s, and then joined the Southern Rock All-Stars. Both bands did several national tours, and members of Blackfoot reunited recently and were planning to start another tour in April.

Two celebrations of Jak's life have been planned by his former bandmates and friends.
