LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — The British soul singer Sam Smith has successfully undergone throat surgery to address a vocal cords hemorrhage that forced him to bow out of his planned Australian tour as well as shows in Japan, the Philippines, France, and Monaco.
"Just woken up from op," Smith tweeted following the procedure. "I'm high on pain killers and listening to Whitney Houston hahahahaha."
Smith said he is on doctor's orders to not speak for 21 days following the surgery.
"Enjoying my last day of speaking. After today no speaking for three weeks. So if you see me on the streets sorry if you think I'm a d***head and can't say hello," Smith tweeted before undergoing the procedure. – Staff Writers
