LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Schneider Electric has signed on to a multi-year agreement that will see the company become the first "Founding Partner" of the new Las Vegas Arena currently under construction and owned by Las Vegas Arena Company partners AEG and MGM Resorts International.
The comprehensive agreement calls for Schneider Electric to design, install and operate numerous technology-based systems throughout the venue, including HVAC, lighting, electrical infrastructure, building security, power management and building automation.
Full terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The privately funded, 20,000-seat, $375 million indoor arena, set to open in spring 2016, is located west of the Las Vegas Strip between New York-New York Hotel & Casino and Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. The arena is expected to host more than 100 events a year, including major headlining artists, boxing and awards shows/special events. – Staff Writers
