Sevendust Concert Shut Down By Fire Department

Sevendust's November 8 concert at 3rd Street Live in Cedar Rapids, IA was shut down by police after two songs. The owner of the club was cited for overcrowding. More than 1,000 people were counted by officers who stopped by for a routine check. The club has an occupancy limit of 540.

According to Fire Department spokesperson Dave Koch, the city citation for overcrowding and admitting people beyond the capacity limit carries a maximum fine of $100 and 30 days in jail. Bar owner Mike Trousdale blamed the overcrowding on J. M. Presents, the promoter that sold the tickets.
