Universal Music & Video Distribution (UMVD) has promoted Joy Slusarek to vice president of National Sales. Formerly, she served as senior account executive managing a top 10 retail partner.
Based at the company's headquarters in Universal City, CA,, Slusarek will be responsible for national sales growth and will oversee such key retail accounts as Target, Circuit City, Costco, Amazon and Starbucks. "Joy is one of the best in the next generation of entertainment sales executives," said Mike Davis, executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "She has been a tremendous asset and we are pleased to recognize her talents with this promotion."
Slusarek joined UMVD in 1994 as a product development manager in St. Louis. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to sales representative in Philadelphia where she handled both regional and national accounts.
